Root (or 1st) Chakra

Root or 1st:
Color is red and located at the base of the spine in the area of the tailbone.
This energy center connects us to the Earth (Mother (feminine) Earth). Just like a tree needs healthy, sturdy and grounded roots in order to flourish so do you. The Root Chakra is our life energy. Through no other chakra do we draw more Earth energy. This chakra provides stability, groundedness, stamina and the ability to see things through to the end. It aids in grounding ideas and creativity into existence. This is the bliss center for our physical body.
The complimentary Chakra is the Crown or 7th.
