The Crown Chakra (or 7th)
Lisa Pratt 29 July 2010
The seventh chakra is the Crown, its color is VIOLET, WHITE or GOLD and it is located at the crown of the head or just above.
The theme is the transcendence of fear (survival-mode) which involves unconditional love of the self, the earth and all others. This chakra provides the ability to go with the flow of life and to see the larger picture. Inspiration without wants (because we know that all is provided for us when we ask to receive from the Universe and Earth and we remain open to all possibilities). The Higher Self and the right to aspire. Connection to the Universe (balanced with the connection to the Root Chakra which is the Earth). Self-realization and the Law of Pure Potentiality.
NOTE: There is a caution against awakening this chakra before awakening all of the other chakras first. There is perfect order in all things - including the reason that the Root is 1, the Sacral is 2, the Solar Plexus is 3, the Heart is 4, the Throat is 5 and the Third Eye is 6. Awakening this chakra without first awakening all chakras in the natural order may cause extreme imbalance and paranoia.
The Third Eye Chakra (or 6th or Brow)
Lisa Pratt 29 July 2010
The sixth chakra is the Third Eye, its color is DARK BLUE or VIOLET BLUE and it is located in the middle of the forehead (between the eyebrows and a little above the top of the nose).
The theme is the search for self-knowledge. It governs intuition, wisdom, realization, awareness, fantasy and the power of imagination. The two most important streams of life energy come into our awareness in the Third Eye Chakra. These two streams of energy represent the masculine and feminine; yin and yang; Earth and Universe (God) or emotion and logic.
The Throat Chakra (or 5th)
Lisa Pratt 29 July 2010
The Throat Chakra is the 5th chakra, its color is BLUE and it is located in the area of the cervical vertebrae and near the larynx.
The theme is clear communication, verbal and energetic communication and connection, sound, inspiration, (your personal) truth, intelligence, creativity and musical talent. "Pure" consciousness of language and truth. Its role is to purity awareness and provide inner clarity. The center of sound and responsible for speech. The conscious use of language, the desire to speak your truth in all circumstances and the ability to express oneself. This chakra connects to the heart chakra and third eye chakra which aids in balancing feelings (emotions) and thought (logic).
The Heart Chakra (or 4th)
Lisa Pratt 29 July 2010
The Heart Chakra is the 4th chakra, it's color is GREEN and it's located at the center of the chest.
The theme is love, joy, compassion, empathy, tolerance, openness, harmony and balance. Love, kindness and forgiveness of the self. An awakened and balanced heart chakra aids in forming loving bonds with ourself and others. This is where the lower three chakras (root, sacral and solar plexus - the feminine or emotional) meets with the top three chakras (throat, third eye and crown - the male or logic) and provides perfect inner harmony which naturally transcends out to others and creates natural change. The love of the heart chakra is a type of (inner) awareness - that all is connected and flowing through us. Energy from all chakras comes to this energy center and turn energy inward (love and all are connected) or outward (disruption or separateness).
